AddonInteractive (formerly RaiderSoft) was established in June of 2001 to provide a feature-rich online chat system for individuals, organizations, and businesses of all sizes.

Our first product, SigmaChat v1.0 (now addonChat) was released as a Java™ based client-server system with a very attractive price compared to competing solutions on the market. Although initial interest in our first release was high, a growing demand for a fully hosted chat service marked the beginning of a new direction for addonInteractive.

By the release of v3.0 in early 2002, the company had retired its client-server based software to focus all efforts on an affordable, hosted, online chat service. Our migration to hosted products allowed us to provide a very small and powerful Java™ based chat client on new, extremely fast and reliable chat servers. With these servers coded in C instead of being Java™ driven, impressive gains were realized in performance, speed and user-to-server ratios. Over the next few years, SigmaChat became a leader in the web-based chat system market.

Additional products introduced at that time included ICE (a Java™ based hosted instant messaging service), RaiderMB (a simple message board system), and RaiderCSS (a Java™ based live customer support solution). All are currently being phased out in favor of newer existing applications, and projects currently in development.

Among addonInteractive's innovations and contributions to the hosted online chat market are:

• the web-based chat system control panel which allows easy configuration of a chat room without editing HTML or using complicated codes
• a remote authentication system which allows access to a chat room to be authenticated via an existing database on the customer's own web site
• audio emoticons which allow designated sounds to be triggered in the same fashion that standard image emoticons are triggered.
• unlimited concurrent user accounts

AddonChat is widely known and respected for its ease of use, affordability, quick load time, and fast site installation & integration.

Since the beginning, addonInteractive's product line has evolved to meet market demand by paying special attention to our customers. New applications, features and style are all crafted in part by our customers. We pride ourselves on providing direct customer access to our development team during all phases of development, and invite customer participation in Alpha, Beta, and Release-Candidate testing phases.

In the fall of 2006, RaiderSoft became addonInteractive. The sole purpose of this renaming initiative is to provide a clear and concise description of our product line through brand name alone. Coinciding with our renaming initiative, the release of version 8.0 solidifies addonChat's position as an industry leader in full-featured chat solutions while retaining both its affordability and ease of use.

In February of 2008, AddonInteractive expanded it's AddonChat service with a satellite office in England and .co.uk domain name at addonchat.co.uk. AddonChat.co.uk is headed by our UK Director of Operators, Anthony Blyth, in Sunderland, England, Anthony has extensive experience in business management, sales, and customer service.

AddonInteractive was founded by Chief Executive Chris Duerr. Chris holds a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California in Computer Science and has worked in the web development industry since 1995. His Contributions to the field include various open-source projects and four major commercial application launches. Chris has extensive experience in many computer-related technologies including embedded systems, programming languages and application design.
